Monica LoBuono
Monica LoBuono is originally from Boston, Massachusetts, and earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre from The Hartt School Conservatory in Hartford, Connecticut.
She brings more than a decade of professional performance experience to her students, having worked with renowned organizations including the Broadway National Tour of Annie through NETworks Presentations (Director: Martin Charnin), Holland America Cruise Line, Stiletto Entertainment, Norwegian Cruise Line, Busch Gardens Entertainment, Walt Disney Company- Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, The Great American Songbook- Moening Presentations in Shanghai, China, and the nationally televised (NBC) Showtime at the Apollo. Her performance credits also include appearances with Miss Hawaiian Tropic (E! Entertainment Television) Red Sox National Anthem Singer and Energy Dance Competition, featured on Dance Moms. Additionally, Ms. Monica has performed in numerous regional theatres throughout the United States, including the acclaimed Goodspeed Opera House.
In 2014, Ms. Monica transitioned her passion for the performing arts into education. Since then, she has developed and led multiple musical theatre programs while earning a Master’s Degree in Education from Fitchburg State University, specializing in curriculum design. Throughout her teaching career, she has directed and choreographed a wide range of productions, including Annie Jr, Honk Jr, Beetlejuice Jr., Cinderella Jr, The Lion King Jr., Fame Jr, The Wiz, High School Musical Jr, Grease, Once on This Island Jr, and Seussical Jr.
Now residing in Florida with her husband, Greg LoBuono and two children, Guy and JJ LoBuono, Ms. Monica serves as a full-time Middle School Theatre Teacher at Windermere Preparatory School, where she teaches under the prestigious Juilliard Creative Classroom curriculum.
Ms. Monica is passionate about inspiring the next generation of performers. She believes that theatre is a powerful tool for fostering creativity, confidence, collaboration, and cultural appreciation. Through every rehearsal, performance, and classroom experience, she strives to help students discover their unique voices while developing skills that will serve them both on and off the stage.
